Berl Boykin

Berl Boykin is perhaps best known for his National Public Radio Playhouse ongoing audio drama series, Horror House, which has featured work by Brad Strickland, Brad Lineaweaaver, Jim Grimsley and Boykin himself. Two of his pieces premiered at Dragon*Con: "The Non," by Jim Grimsley, and Brad Strickland's "The German Student."

Boykin has worn many hats in his career: film and drama critic for print and audio; actor on stage, TV and screen, and screenwriter. His story for director Fred Taylor's Psychospasm screenplay helped it become co-winner of the Lonestar Screenwriting Contest. As an actor, he played the lead in the Rolling Stones video for "Paint It Black." He is currently working on a first novel and a stage play.
